Effective Date: January 1, 2026 | Last Updated: July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Her Lawyer, a Professional Law Corporation (“Her Lawyer,” the “Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the website located at herlawyer.com and any associated pages and forms (collectively, the “Website”). This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and part of our Terms of Use. By accessing or using the Website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. Important Notice — No Legal Advice or Attorney-Client Relationship
Using the Website, submitting information through any form, or communicating with the Firm through the Website does not create an attorney-client relationship and does not make your communications privileged or confidential. Please do not send any confidential, sensitive, or time-sensitive information through the Website until an attorney-client relationship has been established by a signed written agreement. Please see our Terms of Use for further details.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide directly. When you complete a contact or intake form, request information, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, and any information you include in your message, which may describe your legal situation.
- Information collected automatically. When you access the Website, we and our service providers may automatically collect your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits, using cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).
- Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from analytics providers, advertising partners, and similar service providers, and we may combine it with information we collect directly.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information (such as government identification numbers, financial account information, or detailed health or case information) through the Website. Any information you choose to submit is provided voluntarily and at your own risk, as described in Section 9.
3. How We Use Your Information
We may use the information we collect to: respond to your inquiries and communications; evaluate potential legal matters and perform conflict checks; operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Website; analyze usage and measure the effectiveness of our content and advertising; comply with legal, regulatory, and professional obligations; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and for any other purpose disclosed to you or to which you consent. We may use de-identified or aggregated information for any lawful purpose.
4. Legal Bases and Voluntariness
You are not required to provide personal information to browse the general content of the Website. If you choose to submit information through a form, you do so voluntarily. We rely on your voluntary submission, our legitimate interest in operating the Website and responding to inquiries, and, where required, your consent.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Website uses cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Website, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and, where applicable, support advertising. These may include first-party cookies and third-party cookies placed by service providers such as analytics provider(s), e.g., Google Analytics and advertising partner(s), e.g., Google Ads, Meta/Facebook, if used. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some features of the Website. Some third-party providers may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) setting. Because there is not yet a common industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, the Website does not currently respond to DNT signals or similar mechanisms. This disclosure is provided in accordance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).
7. How We Share Information
We may share information as follows:
- Service providers. With vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, form processing, data storage, analytics, email, and marketing, who are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or legal process; to enforce our Terms of Use; to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Firm, our clients, or others; or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual unlawful activity.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your consent. With third parties when you direct us to or otherwise consent.
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. Depending on the analytics and advertising technologies used on the Website, certain disclosures to third-party advertising partners could be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. If applicable, you may exercise choices regarding such activity as described in Section 11 and, where required, through a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism on the Website.
8. Third-Party Websites and Links
The Website may contain links to third-party websites and social media platforms that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee the absolute security of your information. Any transmission of information to us is at your own risk, and we are not responsible for the circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any information you transmit and for the security of your own devices and accounts.
10. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, to respond to your inquiries, to comply with our legal, regulatory, and professional recordkeeping obligations (including obligations applicable to attorneys), to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the applicable requirements.
11. Your Privacy Rights
California residents — CCPA/CPRA. To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the “CCPA”), applies to the Firm, California residents have the right to: (a) know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected; (b) request deletion of personal information; (c) request correction of inaccurate personal information; (d) opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; (e) limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and (f) not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. The Firm does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Whether the CCPA applies to the Firm depends on statutory thresholds; some or all of these rights may not apply.

We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
